Sophie lost her 1st tooth TODAY
Today was a BIG day for our little girl. She lost her first tooth while in centers at her Kindergarten class. It's been loose since Christmas eve so it took about 3 weeks. She said she just wiggled her tooth and it came out. Her teacher (Mrs. Zabst) sent her to see the nurse. The nurse had her rinse her mouth -Sophie was excited that there wasn't any blood then the nurse gave a shark sticker that said "I lost a tooth today" and a special little treasure box for the tooth. She can't wait to see what the tooth fairy leaves tonight. Guess, the tooth fairy better get the fairy dust prepared :-)

Soccer Starts
Sophie decided she wanted to try soccer over dance this year. Wednesday (Jan 7) was her first practice. Well, her practice is in a huge indoor facility with several fields. Ian came along and he said that he wanted to play so I asked the leader of his age group if Ian could do a trial session and he said sure. So, Ian went on to the field and did an amazing job. He had a smile from ear to ear the entire time he was playing. We had planned to wait until Ian was 4 years old to put him in any organized activities but we signed him up on the spot. When we got home both kids were so excited, they were running around like crazy kids. I barely got them to stand still for 2 seconds for this photo but here they are on their first day of soccer.
Christmas 2008
I have to say that this holiday season has been the most fun with the children so far. Sophie is now 6 and Ian 3 and EVERYTHING was so exciting to them. They are at fun, easy to please ages. John and I have enjoyed watching their faces when they opened gifts, saw Christmas performances, attended parties. It's been a special holiday season and now it's over. I'm a little late in doing a post but it's hard to do when your having so much fun. I'll include a picture of the kids with santa this year. We saw him at the Indiana State Museum this year and the kids both liked talking to him and telling him what they wanted for Christmas this year. We also started the elf on a shelf tradition this year and daddy brought out his old Lionel train from when he was a kid. I'm sad that the Christmas season is over. Back to reality.
